1) Send an email
Once the final date of submission is near, submit an email with your basic CV or resume that you have prepared so far (please ensure that it’s well past the expiry date as otherwise, your application will not be accepted), along with an official cover photo as that helps.
Along with all the other relevant files like contact details, work experience, educational qualifications, hobbies, etc., you should go for professional and business-level cover photos instead.
These kinds of images are also suitable for job hunt as they help in giving a clear image to someone who might think about applying to different posts based on that particular person’s personal attributes.
If you plan to upload physical documents like bank statements, pay slips, etc., then you may want to save them separately before submitting them.
2) Upload a document of your passport/ID proof that you made by uploading a PDF
Uploading your passport is mandatory to enter into Govt jobs but for those who don't have one, an ID document can easily be generated using your Aadhaar card, Aadhar number, etc.
You can use any digital wallet from where you got these documents. The important thing here is that when going through the requirements for a government job, there are two types of requirements:
The first one is whether you need to show a valid Indian passport or carry an Aadhaar Card.
The second one is whether you can prove that you have a permanent residence/residence in India.
If you can answer both these questions satisfactorily, then you'll be good to go. Note that it is now very easy now to do this. Nowadays, most companies make an app available in which it doesn't require people to produce their passports.
This is why it becomes highly recommended for students and people without IDs to get an authentic identity document to be able to apply for jobs.
Having a copy of your Indian passport or Aadhar number will help in proving that you can live in India even if your home country isn't declared the “Hindi Medium Economy Activity Index”(HMEIAI).
So, this would be an added advantage not just to applicants but also to employers, as the latter would know who is genuine and who is fake. That said, you need to prepare a lot more documents before we can take a call!
3) Enrich your CV and LinkedIn profiles with data related to the post you applied
If you have a master's or Ph. D background in technology, engineering, or finance is more than just being a brilliant student, it actually means something, because you will not only be working for a company but an entire industry.
More importantly, you have to show that you have knowledge and expertise about some topic that goes beyond mere learning. Here is one such example of content related to software development, as shown in the table below.
You should try to add information that will make the employer come to know more about you. While doing so, keep in mind that your skills, experiences, and personality go beyond your degree.
So, you need to demonstrate this by adding keywords that would describe a certain skill area that you have demonstrated (for example, you may say you've worked on developing new products with Adobe Creative Suite). Keep a note of this and write it down.
4) Don't forget to mention all the projects you have done successfully
You need to make sure you tell everything about yourself in detail regarding your previous achievements so that this is part of the reason why the next time when filling up the form, there is none there that does not include at least that info.
Tell us about your successful project results and the skills that helped you achieve these results. In addition to that, it can help to tell us the name and address of your team and also your social media handles where you can reach out to your followers.
Be specific about your accomplishments and highlight your strengths so that the future employer knows who you are and who you're capable of becoming!
5) Show proof of your education
This might sound odd to mention as no one wants to be known as “fake”, but the list of colleges you have attended or passed exams for can be enough to establish your credibility.
There are universities and institutions of higher learning, which are more prestigious than the ones you would attend as a regular student. Similarly, schools might ask you to provide evidence of your GPA for admission.
However, that information should only go to candidates who are already enrolled in a university, not ones who are studying online.
Even after enrolling into a college or institute, it is still recommended to appear for several examinations to assess your understanding of the course along with its application, as you will be required to show evidence of passing it.
Also, once you finish training, make sure you pass another exam that hatchecks your communication skills, your ability to speak English fluently, etc.
6) State how many times you have gone through interviews
As stated earlier, we don't need anyone to appear in all the interviews (unless it is done online!), but you need to make the right impression during the whole process so that you would not give away any clue about your abilities.
Apart from that, you need to demonstrate that you are serious about the position and the tasks set before you. We will talk about your age at the end of the application.
But, you need to explain your educational credentials, your performance in examinations, your personal and professional life details along with reasons for your choice.
7) Try asking the relevant questions
Here’s an amazing strategy that can help you understand the best strategy for your career in the long run. Start by stating the questions you have raised so well that an ordinary person could understand the question, and proceed with that question.
Then, write the exact same question for a slightly different scenario and see how much easier it is for the person to understand and solve the problem.
Finally, repeat the process multiple times until you understand the entire system and the questions asked by your interviewer.
8) Pay a visit to the website
Before you send your application over to us, you can go to the official site of the Ministry of Human Resources and Information Technology which helps you find your dream job. Here, you need to explore the various categories listed in Government Jobs’ and click on which would suit your interest.
From here, go to the option that reads ‘Employment’ and select 'Individual and Other’ from here. Once you finish selecting the category, the page takes you to the last section ‘Open Applications’ and enter your application.
Once you look at the screen, a small window pops up asking you to confirm if you want to do so. A couple of clicks and you are done!
Now, let us see how to search for this kind of opportunity. On your mobile phone, visit HTTP://jobs.srischapps.com/ and start typing your full name and applying using basic information like educational background, salary, and responsibilities.
The rest of them will remain optional. Please remember to include a photograph of your application and a recent selfie! At the end of the application, you need to state your desired profession as a civil servant.
After selecting it, another page will open and let you browse and select your field. Here, select the role and your preferred location with the appropriate font and color. Click on ‘Submit’ and wait for your response to arrive in your inbox.
